Niklas Harmann

I am currently completing a Master in Management with a specialization in Finance at IE Business School, scheduled to graduate in July. My academic journey has also taken me through ESSEC Business School, the London School of Economics, and Maastricht University, enriching my understanding of business and finance under the guidance of some of Europe's leading professors. Professionally, I have honed my expertise in corporate finance and private equity during my tenure at SG Partner Advisory in Germany and Arx Corporate Finance in France, where I led high-stakes meetings, developed financial models, and crafted strategic investment plans. My skills were further sharpened by managing the proposed sale of a Swiss firm in an M&A competition. Fluent in German and English, and actively improving my French, I am eager to apply my analytical and strategic capabilities to contribute significantly to the finance sector. In my free time, I am passionate about sports, actively playing tennis and football. I'm also a sociable person who values maintaining friendships worldwide. Additionally, I have a strong love for travel, which enriches my global connections and broadens my perspectives.

During my internship as a PE/M&A Analyst at Arx Corporate Finance in Paris, I led over a hundred meetings with investment directors and partners of top European funds and presented at offices of renowned firms like Goldman Sachs and Blackstone. This role allowed me to refine my data analysis and investor relations skills, providing deep insights into the corporate finance landscape across Europe. Additionally, my tenure as a Transactions/Restructuring Analyst at SG Partner Advisory enhanced my expertise in financial analysis and valuations - skills that I understand are crucial to your team. I was actively involved in due diligence processes and successfully managed the restructuring and merger of several firms with having worked in a small team. Additionally, I recently took the initiative to form a team of five peers to compete in an international M&A competition, where we worked on a real-case scenario while being in close contact with a Swiss firm actively seeking a strategic or financial buyer.

My academic background with studies at four leading European universities, including ESSEC Business School, IE Business School, London School of Economics, and Maastricht University, has not only equipped me with advanced knowledge in financial reporting, modelling, valuation, private equity, and real estate but also enriched my international perspective. With being German and having studied in Spain, France, the UK, and Netherlands, I have developed a substantial global network, a deep understanding of the mentioned coursework, and enriched presentation skills.            These experiences have shaped me into a communicative and socially adept professional, thriving in multicultural environments, and highly motivated to apply my academic knowledge and professional experience successfully within your team.
