Beyond the teaching prism 

Through out the years and places I’ve been living in I didn’t always have the chance to work as a teacher, henceforth I had to open my mind to other opportunities. I’ve worked in different professional fields like retailing or even picking olives in season, but I’ve especially worked as a waitress in restaurants of gastronomic and cultural relevance and those experiences made a point apart in how I used to look at what a job of service must be.

Not only through working in hospitality but also by constantly making the exercise of accepting change from love and gratitude, brought me to discover my real vocation which isn’t just teaching, but supporting and guiding. And I could find out then that working as a teacher may be a great professional role for it. I began to experience it instead of just believing in that thought.

From my eyes and regarding to my experiences, I see life as a place where to be in community elevates the fact of living, and that’s why serving in and for an educative community, and counting on it is key to make a mutual purpose happen. So, I decided to cultivate and lately grow interesting and useful skills in those essential things according to my purpose, my values, my vocation and at the end to the woman I am. I count on a worthy background in communication, counselling (guidance and support), mindfulness, neuro-linguistic programming and some others.

Ultimately, I’ve been always striving for being not just a good teacher, but the best woman I could for giving my best as a referent, which is what someone becomes for those children and families when they work as a teacher. And that’s my commitment.
