Miquel Grau Casellas

In 2016 my professional career as a FrontEnd developer began and since then I dedicate every day of my life to it. Very soon I started my first job as a junior programmer while in the afternoons when I got home I continued studying css, html and plain javascript. Until one day I discovered Angular 2 and I have been working with it and the versions that have come out until today. After all these years I have gone through several companies where I have been able to collaborate in a lot of projects, polish my skills and improve as a programmer. Thanks to very good colleagues and magnificent bosses, what started as a job has become a profession.

I joined Bee the Data as Junior developer with the aim of launching a social network called Crumbit. The first year at Bee the Data I consolidated myself as an Angular programmer, learning more day by day and updating my knowledge as Angular released versions. After launching Crumbit I dedicated myself to other projects within the same company, always working with Angular. It was then that my passion for design awakened and although I have never worked as a designer, I have dedicated myself to learning about UI & UX while I have continued working as a programmer.

After two years I decided that it was a good time to look for another company to work for, since I wanted to see how other companies approach challenges, see what methodologies are used and what good habits are carried out. This is how I ended up working for Capitole Consulting for two years, where I was assigned to a client that I was interested in. Thanks to this client I worked on four different projects that were all related to each other, which allowed me to keep improving my Angular knowledge, learn new technologies such as Ionic, learn about sockets, work with custom Google Maps and polish my skills in both programming and code organization. I also had the opportunity to make technical decisions within the projects, taking care of them from the beginning and even mentoring a junior frontend partner.

When the contract between the client and Capitole ended, I decided the time was right to also end my employment with them. Once again, with the intention of continuing to acquire new responsibilities, I looked for a company where I could feel that all the responsibility for the Frontend was mine and that's how I started working at Paymefy. At Paymefy I started with the creation from scratch of the second version of the tool and I have been managing the Frontend part for two years as the only person in charge. It has been a very satisfying challenge that has allowed me to continue growing as a professional, I have been able to keep up with the latest versions of Angular, I have learned GraphQL, I have tested with Jasmine, I have decided on the UX & UI of the platform and even I have conducted interviews to recruit new junior developers to the team.
