Sobre Marta Beatriz Cortina:
I am a motivated young woman who has had very enriching experiences, which have given me the confidence to embrace change and the power to overcome adversity. Attributes that, together with constant criticism and reflection, have managed to go beyond my comfort zone to develop an attitude of self-improvement that allows me to analyze the different points of view, on issues and problems of some relevance, as well as propose solutions both personally and collaboratively. I have dedicated my last years to expand my knowledge of politics, philosophy, international relations, and history, and would love to continue to work in a multicultural environment that allows me to expand my horizons.
Experiencia
I worked in a Sail School in Almería, Spain a couple of months during summer, and as a Profesor of History and Philosophy during my last year of school.
Educación
I studied Politics and International Relations in Royal Holloway University of London. My degree has provided me with a solid grounding in politics, international relations history, and international relations theory. I studied topics such as democracy, decolonization, democratization, international organizations, modern political thought, foreign policymaking, human migration, human rights, the European Union (politics and theory, public policies, institutions…), and world politics. I also studied Latin American Politics, African Politics and Goverment, Middle East Politics, and United States Foreign Policy. These years of study had encouraged me to ask questions about the world around us and think about how we can provide useful answers to complex phenomena, it has provided me with the skill to analyze a wide range of political phenomena in an informed, critical and rigorous way; and to develop my own political thought.
