Maria Garcia Peña

I'm Maria Garcia, a fashion designer who just finished her job at the Pepe Jeans soft woven men's design team (in 2D and 3D design) and now is currently in Madrid searching for new opportunities and different ways to learn more about the fashion industry. 
Graduated in 2021 in Fashion Design from LCI Barcelona University (Felicidad Duce).
I am very passionate about design and the arts in general: dance, cinema, photography, music... In addition I feel like I’m very organized, creative, decisive and dedicated to the projects that would make me grow in my professional career as well as in my private life.

PEPE JEANS 3D & MENSWEAR DESIGN TEAM

Part of the design team in the Men's department for Pepe
Jeans. Starting as a 3D designer for the Junior Boys team and
moving on to the Men's Wear team as part of the Soft Woven
division.
Some of my responsibilities:
- Elaboration of sketches and designs in CLO 3D.
- Analysis of trends, seasonal moodboards, color charts and
new fabric developments.
- Research for the development of the new collection
- Review and approval of samples and labdips from suppliers.
- Development of technical sheets in illustrator and PLM
software.
- Review and correction of garments/trims and fabrics made
in  ttings, samples and production comments.
- Development of color versions/overviews/presentations and
research for suppliers

Assistant Fashion Designer

Design assistant at Happy Pünt SLU. A textile supplier
that develops designs and prototypes for di erent fast
fashion brands, including: Primark, Inditex, C&A,
Desigual...
Some of my responsibilities were:
- Preparation of technical sheets
- Prepare sketches for di erent collections
- Development of technical drawings
- Research for di erent collections
- Prototype development
- Direct contact with clients via visits; meetings etc
- Training in CLO 3D
