María García Maroto García

I have a degree in Sociology from the campus of excellence of the Carlos III University of Madrid. I had the opportunity to receive a scholarship thanks to the ERASMUS+ program at Mannheim Universität in southern Germany. I have worked in the fields of consultancy, opinion research, social research and as a consular assistant at the Consulate General in Hamburg, in this case in Northern Germany.

I consider myself a committed, creative, proactive and hard-working person.

I have worked in the fields of consultancy, opinion research, social research and as a consular assistant at the Consulate General of Spain in Hamburg.

The last three years I have been working as Social Researcher in ISD Foundation. 

During the first year I have been working as an intern, learning the fundamentals parts of researching and consolidating my sociological skills. 

On my second year, I have continued my work at the foundation. In this case, as a remote social researcher due to my decision of improving my german skills in Hamburg. There I have combining a part-time contract at the foundation, an intensive german course (C1) and a part-time job in the field of Gastronomy, serving at a luxury restaurant named Izakaya. 

During the third year, I came back to Madrid and I have been investing all my time as a full insite Social Researcher. 

Nowadays I am looking for new opportunities on the fields of Social Researching, PR and communication or Consulting.  

Language skills
My german skills were developing while working and studying at the University Service in Hamburg (UNS). 
In Ireland I have been studying during 3 summers in Killarney, Co. Kerry and an Auppair in a native irish family. 

Sociology and Political Science competences 
I studied Sociology at the Excellent Campus of Carlos III University in Madrid. On my third year I had the opportunity of keep studying Political Science and Sociology as a ERASMUS+ student in Mannheim University (south of Germany).

ISD Foundation
I have been learning through internal courses the following topics: Survey Development,  Social Research Design, Descriptive Statistics, Fundraising Techniques, Quantitative and Qualitative Social Research Techniques and R Programming Language, Human Resources Management and Report Expertise (United Nations).
