Luis Moreno

After a small stint in accounting at Mercedes Benz, and now currently working as a Commercial and Sales Specialist at Vector Renewables, I am currently seeing a postgraduate position in order to further develop in the energy Sector, on a personal level, as someone who has been fortunate enough to live abroad for an extended period of time, I have had the opportunity to gain a unique perspective on the world. Over the course of seven years, I have lived in different countries, including the United States and Belgium, which has allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and the people who make them.

Living abroad has also given me the opportunity to become fluent in three languages, something that I consider a great privilege. Being able to communicate with people in their native language has helped me to build strong relationships with colleagues and friends from all over the world.

While I am proud of the experiences I have had living abroad, I am also very aware of how much there is still to learn. I believe that my experiences have humbled me and made me more open-minded, adaptable, and eager to learn from others.

As I look to the future, I am excited to bring the skills and knowledge that I have gained through my experiences living abroad to any organization I am a part of. I am committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can feel valued and respected, and where differences are celebrated.

I completed a 4-month internship at Contycom, a Spanish accounting firm, where I developed several skills such as organization, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, time management, mathematical and deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and active learning. 

Following this, I worked at Woodies DIY as a Sales Colleague to gain insights into how large retail shops are managed and organized while finishing my Bachelor of Business in order to pay for my expenses living abroad.

In July 2022, I started an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable internship at Mercedes-Benz to apply the knowledge I gained during my Degree and grow professionally.

Currently, I am working at Vector Renewables in the Commercial and Sales department, where I am gaining hands-on experience in sales and further developing my communication and negotiation skills.

I pursued my education at Pablo VI in Madrid, where I achieved a Certificate of Higher Education (HNC) in Business and Administration, which I studied for two years. Subsequently, I enrolled at Galway Business School in Ireland, where I completed my Bachelor's degree in International Business from September 2021 to June 2022.

Currently, I am pursuing a Master's degree in International Trade & Business, with a focus on Marketing, at ESIC Business School in Madrid, which has allowed me to continue expanding my knowledge and education in the field.
