Experiencia

One of the main lessons I learned in these almost 10 years as a designer is that each project is unique - and that, therefore, we must constantly renew our knowledge and sources of inspiration. This is precisely what excites me in UX/UI design. Focusing creative power on the needs of people in their digital experiences is what has driven me in recent years through projects with varied types of user profiles, requirements, and information domains. 

An example of this diversity was a project developed for the web in collaboration with DGS, namely the redesign of the UX/UI of the SPARE nutritional information and planning website in its third edition. In this project, the challenge was to plan and design the product so that it would be more intuitive for nutritionists when creating menus for public schools in Portugal, in addition to building a more cohesive aesthetic identity and introducing new features in this edition. The participation of nutrition experts in the information architecture and design of the user experience contributed to the success of the project. 

Another example was the design and development of a mobile Augmented Reality app for the educational context with a focus on children. It was particularly enriching to work with groups of children during usability tests and in focus groups, in addition to overcoming the challenges of including the little ones in the creative co-design processes. 

Finally, it is also worth mentioning the Norte & Safe project which, from an inclusive design perspective, challenged me to think of interfaces that would allow visually impaired users to circulate more easily in a shopping center. The designed solution brought together physical and digital elements (e.g., QR tokens, beacons, and mobile app) and was received with satisfaction by the target audience. 

My work is always focused on the intricate network of relationships and needs of developers, product owners, users, customers and fellow designers and the balance of these relationships to achieve the best result. I am always ready to share knowledge and continuously learn.
