Ibai Cosgaya Prieto

My name is Ibai Cosgaya Prieto and I am a passionate about films and videogames. I have one year of experience in the 3D world and have been working hard on my demo reel in order to start my career in the industry. 

I have a bachelor´s degree in Audiovisual Communication where I gained an understanding about how to tell stories I order to transmit ideas and feelings to the viewer. After some time, I realised that I was passionate about the postproduction area, particularly in the VFX part. That is the reason that got me to study a VFX Master´s Degree at Lightbox Academy, where I studied FX-making and compositing programs such as Houdini, NukeX and DaVinci Resolve. I started focusing all my efforts at improving my skills on Houdini. I believe I have strong skills in RBD, Flip, Vellum and Volume simulations. In addition to this, I started setting up some grooming techniques inside Houdini. In order to learn new ways to improve my renders, I have started to acquire skills in operating Arnold Renderer and Unreal Engine 5.

 I consider myself to be very organised, creative and technical. Never giving up is one of my main features, this is why I work very hard until I reach my objectives. I think I am able to come up with different ways to solve problems. Constant learning and being up to date are very important for me, this is why I believe any job opportunity could be highly enriching as I could grow professionally and every day I could learn from my teammates.

                                      6 months supporting in the management and production of the International Invisible Film                                               Festival "Film Sozialak" of Bilbao, a festival that makes visible social issues that are not                                                   addressed in commercial cinema (gender equality, sustainable development...).
