Soy un profesor de inglés británico que trabaja en Madrid. Estoy en mi segundo año trabajando como profesora de inglés aqui. Tengo una amplia experiencia con clases de diferentes edades y tamaños, así como formación académica en la enseñanza del inglés como lengua extranjera. Como licenciada en Literatura Inglesa de primera clase tengo un profundo amor por la lengua inglesa, y también un conocimiento técnico que considero útil para los estudiantes.

He estado comprometida con la importancia de la educación desde una edad temprana; como Head Girl de mi colegio dediqué gran parte de mi tiempo a ayudar a otros estudiantes, y creo que este papel me dio una valiosa visión del funcionamiento del colegio (ya que me reunía todos los días con miembros del personal de diferentes departamentos y organizaba diversos eventos) que me ayudaría a trabajar en un campamento de verano. También tengo experiencia en teatro y canto.

- It is now my second academic year working as an English Language Assistant in Madrid
- I am responsible for planning and leading classes with Infantil and second of Primaria. This involves: understanding their curriculum for each term, designing a vast range of appropriate and crea&ve resources, planning my lesson structure, delivering classes and managing discipline in the classroom
- I also work with fourth of ESO students, designing engaging acBviBes to prepare them for their APTIS advanced speaking exam, and prepare Primaria students for their Cambridge exams

Private Tutor
- As a private English tutor to both children and adults I have vast experience of working with students individually and tailoring classes to their specific needs, helping them with speaking, writing, listening and reading

Volunteer, Talent Beyond Boundaries (resettling refugees through skilled migration pathways)

- Worked with refugees from Syria to help them with their English language proficiency, focusing on building their confidence and a real-life applicaBon of the language
- This role also involved administrative tasks, using IT systems (such as Word and Excel) to complete administraBve tasks, eg archiving and organising candidates’ CVS and job applications across centralised systems
- I also produced a Cookbook in 10 days, celebraBng the recipes of our candidates and food as a means of storytelling (this involved liaising with contributors, testing and adapting the recipes, wriBng them up, photographing them and formacng and designing the book on Canva)

Student Director, BPP Human Rights Unit

- Coordinated, marketed and chaired Webinar events with speakers from Amnesty International and Liberty, amongst others, which attracted over 200 attendees
- Ran debate sessions for other students facilitating the discussion of human rights issues
- Produced a bi-weekly newsleder using Mailchimp with important human rights updates and ran the email inbox

Head Girl, Headington School Oxford

- Role included meeting daily with senior staff, coordinating the prefect team of 30, organising helpers for open days and other school events, organising specific events such as the Leavers’ Ball and hosting guests and speakers
- Delivered weekly speeches, starting with a traditionally improvised speech to 2,000 parents, pupils and governors at Foundation Day
