I was an art director, but due to Covid I entered the world of teaching English. Why teaching English? I believe people are all interesting, and I think it'd be fantastic if more people could get to know each other. Language, I believe, is what separates us. Of course, I try to learn others' languages too. Currently I'm learning Spanish and teaching English in Valencia. My experiences and skills should be of interest to you. With my background, I'm positive I can grow your organization further and benefit your students.
I do work freelance as well.
Experiencia
After Covid, I decided to get into teaching English as a foreign language. I completed my TEFL certification (150 hours), and taught as an “Assistant” English Teacher in the province of Valencia (Spain) for two years. I also tutored adults and young adults. All my students spoke Spanish (as well as other languages other than English). I've acquired many skills from my teaching experiences, such as classroom management strategies, critical thinking to solve abrupt challenges from colleagues and students, and encouraging students to engage with content in a positive way. There are clear differences between ages and class levels, which have made me to adjust my pace and recalibrate myself accordingly.
Educación
I currently work at a primary school as an “assistant” English teacher. I work with students aged 6 to 12, totalling near 260 students. I work alongside 5 English teachers who have differing teaching methods, which have began my journey to my own method. This work experience has improved my skills and given me even more, most notably for teaching such a great size of students with differing personalities and skill levels. I've improved my lesson planning and activities, as well as implementation of different classroom management strategies.
