Hult EF 

I have recently began teaching group and private Business English courses for Hult EF Online. This continues to be an exciting and challenging experience for me. For each group and student, I must design a course that is completely tailored to their English learning goals and relevant to their work lives. This has provided me with the opportunity to expand my ability to perform needs analysis and to find materials that will be highly productive and applicable to the students.

With this academy I taught group and one-to-one English lessons to Spanish children and teenagers for over two years. The academy used Cambridge coursebooks and materials which provide the learners with a fun, and effective learning experience. Whilst teaching for this academy I acquired and evolved my ability to prepare young learners for Cambridge exams. Teaching in the real classroom gave me the opportunity to implement the methods and skills that I had learnt during my teacher training. It also further proved to me how enjoyable and satisfying teaching can be!

I worked as an English teacher for an online Chinese company for three years. I had acquired over twenty regular students since starting my teaching with the company in August 2018, their ages ranged between 4 and 16 years old. I worked with them on a one-to-one basis to deliver a curriculum that was all-encompassing and empowering through the English language. An important aim for my teaching with both children and adults is to build the student’s confidence when speaking English as I know it can be very intimidating to learn a new language. To do this, I get to know the student and encourage them to get to know me, often through games and conversation. This helps us to build rapport and aids them in becoming more comfortable and confident in the classroom. It also helps me to target the learning materials more towards their interests, so they can enjoy learning as much as I enjoy teaching!
