David Delgado Vendrell

He is an architect (MSc. Arch) by ETSAV (Polytechnic University of Catalonia) and CEO of DDV (since 2004), a BIM consultancy especially focused on implementing this technology in the public sector and also private companies working in the different stages of the asset life-cycle.

In his country, Architectural studies have a double master's degree: Architectural Design and Engineering. This feature brings a vast real scope to his profile, including structural and MEP knowledge, in addition to basic architectural discipline.

He is a specialist in using the Archicad as a BIM Authoring platform and advocates for openBIM, Agile methodologies and knowledge management. He participates as a lecturer in different BIM educational programs and speaker at several national and international conferences, such as BILT Europe.

He is the Technical Coordinator and board member of buildingSMART Spain and an active member of the BIM User Group of Catalonia (GuBIMCat). He also collaborates with the "We Build the Future" Commission of ITEC in Catalonia, representing buildingSMART Spain. He has co-authored the BIM classification system "GuBIMclass," an initiative of GuBIMCat and Infraestructures de Catalunya.
