April 2022-Present : Student Advisor, International University of La Rioja (La Universidad Internacional de La Rioja)
My responsibilities as an advisor to 150 online students include resolving any of their questions or problems relating to their matriculation or classes throughout their academic careers. Additionally, I administer informational sessions to welcome students and instruct them how to use their online resources.
July 2019- April 2022: Semi-Independent Staff Worker, Arpa Autism Rioja (Arpa Autismo Rioja)
Employed at a centre for people with autism who had a wide range of needs. Specifically, my position was as an educator and caregiver to people living in semi-independent apartments where I aided them to navigate their daily lives and problems. My responsibilities included giving medication, organizing schedules, food shops, and money management. More importantly, I facilitated the development of their interpersonal skills.
January 2018- May 2019: Au Pair, United Kingdom
Worked for two separate families as an Au Pair in London taking care of four children between the ages of 1 month and 7 years old. As a live-in nanny I not only managed the schedules of the children, but also taught Spanish to those who were old enough.
October 2016-December 2017: Nursery Teacher, Acuarela Nursery (Guarderia d’Acuarela)
Worked in a nursery for children between the ages of 0 and 3 years old as a teacher. My duties included teaching developmental learning and motor skills. I implemented the use of creative activities to keep the children engaged throughout the day. Furthermore, I communicated with parents the developmental educational progress of their children.
Educación
MA Honours Education (Early Years, 0-6 years), University of La Rioja (Spain, 2012-2016)
Courses include artistic and musical expression within teaching, child developmental psychology, developmental disorders and learning disabilities, inclusive education and response to diversity, and special education intervention. Additionally, I wrote my dissertation on family diversity in the sphere of education and finished with a specialisation in early care. My degree also included a six month placement period within a nursery as a teacher's assistant.
