Aida Nadeem

I am a contemporary Iraqi/Danish artist: Vocalist, musician, composer & performer. I have different international nominations & I performed in most of the well known festivals & venues in Europe. I just moved to Barcelona. I  welcome any kind of collaboration in the field of music, theatre, Cinema & TV

For the last 20 years, I carried out hundreds of successful projects  in the field of performing art, few to name:
My First Album was nominated to the BBC AWARDS, My second album entered the top 5 of the European World Radio Charter list. I run a TV music program at the Turkish National TV. 

I won huge funding for my projects, whether in Denmark or in Sweden, beside I had 2 years of work-grant from the Art Center in both countries.

I played in many different well known festivals & venues around Europe, Few to name: Roskilde Festival, Glastonbury & Womad! 

After the pandemic, I started focusing on enhancing my digital channels. Right now, I am working on a project that connect cities with music & Art. Where I produce music tracks, where the local musicians are involved & shoot a video in urban-artistic locations.I call this project: Sophisticated Vagabond

My music is defined as folk-electronica, cross over;) 

I play bassoon & it is my passion to present the other dimension of the instrument, which we are not used to hear. Shortly we are talking a funky, middle-eastern & ambient bassoon;)

I studied the bassoon at my very early ages in Baghdad-Iraq at the Music & Ballet school

Then I studied languages at the oldest University of our human history in Baghdad: Al-Mustansiriya. Bachelor Degree

Then I completed my music studies at the  Danish Royal Music Conservatory.
