About this opportunity


We are an R&D unit in Ericsson, building world class cloud-native based AI/ML big data analytics software for telecom operators.

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic senior cloud engineer who will collaborate with global teams, manage our infrastructure and enable success stories for our customers.

You will be creating the pavement for cutting-edge technology (5G, ML/AI, Automation, cloud computing and security) and enabling the software of tomorrow.

What you will do

  • Design and implement product E2E CI/CD flow for Cloud, Kubernetes, Linux, distributed databases, telco orchestration and several other solutions.
  • Develop and operate tools in a variety of programming/scripting languages
  • Design and implement improvements striving for efficiency
  • Work with design team/test team/program to ensure the software delivery on time with good quality
  • Support and troubleshooting for design environment
  • Operate software CM, GIT/Gerrit and build automation systems
  • Drive CI/CD improvements
  • Develop tools and processes to drive and improve customer deployments. Create playbooks.
  • Follow the trend of software development and new technology

You will bring

  • Bachelors or above degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
  • Strong understanding on what CI/CD is and why it matters
  • Strong competence and knowledge in multiple CI/CD technologies and surrounding ecosystem (e.g., SCM, artifact repositories, and test automation frameworks like Robot, Cucumber, Tempest)
  • Proven experience in architecting, developing, operating, maintaining (and retiring) complex CI/CD pipelines and software delivery flows
  • Ability to code and script in multiple programming languages (Python is a must): Shell, Groovy, Perl
  • Handson experience in multiple Infrastructureascode languages/frameworks or Configuration Management solutions (e.g., Gitlab, Ansible/Chef, Terraform, Puppet)
  • Experience with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Maven, Artifactory, Nexus, Rundeck, and/or Rancher.
  • Knowledge in Windows, Linux/Unix (Suse / CentOS / RHEL 7), comfortable working in command line interface
  • Experience in deployment automation, AB testing, canary deployment
  • Cloud, Automation or Container certifications will be valued.
  • Experience working in an Agile / DevOps environment.
  • Deep understanding of JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong collaborator and team player
  • Interest to try things out to form own thinking
  • Interest to start experiments/PoCs and make others part of it
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent English, both written and spoken
