The Manager, Sales Development will lead an EMEA team of Sales Development Representatives. This individual will need to recruit, coach, train, motivate and build this team for the future. A passion for management and development along with drive to exceed targets is imperative.

Must be able to thrive in a global cross functional role working closely Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, Business Management, etc.

This role requires a passion for setting and hitting targets while keeping an extreme focus on the development of the team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee goal setting, performance assessment, career planning and development.
  • Expand the skills of the team from the focus on compliance to new value solutions.
  • Build, manage, mentor, train, and retain a Sales Development team.
  • Develop and achieve quarterly and annual forecasts and plans.
  • Maintain and improve a successful and positive culture that is evidenced by high employee morale and low turnover.
  • Define and report on metrics to measure the performance of the Sales Development activities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on Sales Development involvement in Account-Based Marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

  • High energy, creative sales management professional with 5+ years experience in software sales development management (life sciences, supply chain and/or SAAS experience a plus).
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute.
  • Prior success building, managing and growing a Global Sales Development team.
  • Proven track record of screening, recruiting, hiring and developing new Sales Development team members.
  • Experience building KPIs to drive results.
  • Familiar with different sales methodologies; e.g. Challenger and sales tools; including Salesforce and Marketo.
  • Prior success thriving in a constantly changing, complex environment.
  • Ability to travel international on occassion.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
