Our opportunity

The role is a great opportunity for a person interested in managing visualization and Business Intelligence platforms in a data-rich company.

Platforms like Microstrategy and MS Power BI are amongst the top in the market. The role is ideally placed to manifest one's in-depth knowledge and expertise in their administration and day-to-day operation.

Through working with other platform and technical support teams, a strong profile in IT delivery can be built within the organization.

Your role

As a Visualization Platform Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

Operations of shared visualization and BI platforms to ensure delivery of consistent level of service to different customers around the world
Management of external resources for the delivery of the platform services
Planning and coordination of system maintenance activities
Responsibility for release management of the system and its components
Supporting technical projects to ensure consistent design and implementation
Responsibility for capacity management, and planning and implementation of platform upgrades, changes, and extensions
Leading and coaching a small team of platform engineers
Providing guidance and training to users as required
Responsibility for continuous improvement and development of monitoring solutions
Automating operation activities to simplify platform support
Collaborating with audit and compliance execution activities

Your Skills and Experience

As a Platform Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

University level education (Computer Sciences or equivalent)
5 years of experience in IT infrastructure related work, preferably 2nd line and above
56 years of working experience with Microstrategy, MS Power BI, SAP Business Objects or other visualization and BI tools
Knowledge of ITIL & AGILE methodologies (certifications are a plus)
Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation and quality
Effective communication, presentation and relationship management skills at different levels and in multicultural and multi location environment
Good command of English language
