Senior Security Engineer


Summary:


The Senior Security Engineer, a member of Security Architecture & Engineering team in the Global Information Security (GIS) organization, is a key member driving Aristocrat's Global Information Security program by defining, deploying, and managing security capabilities for a global organization.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with security architecture, security operations, product security, and security governance to deploy and manage security controls, including hands on activities in support of our goals to scale, integrate, optimize, and automate security controls in the enterprise.

You will also assist in the management of security controls for the company, including developing creative solutions to security challenges in support of risk reduction.


What You'll Do:


  • Drive the selection, testing, deployment, management, operations, and maintenance of Aristocrat security controls.
  • Utilize expertise in cyber security engineering in support of programs, proposals, and corporate objectives.
  • Partner with cybersecurity operations and threat intelligence for continuous control improvement activities.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and effective reporting of the status and usage of security controls on critical assets to, and for, executive level management.
  • Develop technical security requirements aligned to organizational security policies and security capabilities.
  • Define and implement configuration of security controls for endpoints, cloud environments, DevSecOps, product security, and identity platforms.
  • Support the tracking of information security deficiencies, or opportunities for security risk improvement.
  • Stay current with emerging security trends, technologies, and threats and make recommendations to enhance the Aristocrat's security posture.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 812 years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on design, implementation, and management of security solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience working with security information event management (SIEM), intrusion detection/prevention systems (ID/PS), network security, endpoint security systems, cloud security, and/or privileged access management systems.
  • Expert knowledge of information security technologies, networking, cloud, and infrastructure architecture in global capacity required.
  • Ability to manage complex troubleshooting issues.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Ability to contribute to the organizational strategic thinking beyond area of responsibility.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA or certifications preferred.
  • Excellent collaboration skills must be eager to work as part of a cohesive team and work as a partner to other teams within Aristocrat, Inc., locally and globally
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict.
