Overview:
IE School of Architecture and Design is dedicated to education and research within the creative industries.

Our programs are taught in English and combine a multidisciplinary approach with strong theoretical foundations as well as a design-driven learning approach.

The 5-year Bachelor in Architectural Studies and the 11-month Master in Architecture constitute the path towards professional licensure in architecture in Spain and the European Union, providing a rigorous, innovative, and international training for a varied professional career in related disciplines within the built environment.


The Program Manager is responsible for daily operations and coordination of the Bachelor in Architectural Studies and the Master in Architecture.

The position involves coordinating tasks among various team members and other IE Departments; overseeng the implementation of established academic guidelines and policies; monitoring logistics and operations; supporting faculty members, and ensuring a rigorous and organized student experiene.


The Program Manager will report to the Dean of the School, and will work within the parameters of the School Dean ́s office.

This post will be based either in Segovia or Madrid with weekly travel to whichever campus does not serve as home base.


Responsibilities:

Program management:

  • Coordinate and supervise the planning of schedules and liaise with the Planning
  • Department for updates and modifications
  • Coordinate universitywide initiatives (honours programs, elections, online platform management, software update, etc)
  • Liaise with facilities for class requirements and room booking
  • Provide data and information for qualityrelated reports and certifications
  • Assist the Dean, the Associate Director, and the Area Coordinators in the direction of the programs, as needed.
  • Manage logistics for workshops and activities abroad, and availability to travel for field trips.
  • Work with Program Coordinator and Associate Director to gather data and coordinate content for all regulatory reports and inspections.

Interaction with students and professors:

  • Provide onboarding information for new full and adjunct faculty
  • Comanage the relationship with class representatives.
  • Identify ways to improve the student experience and implement proposed
  • Maintain and enhance academic guides and other materials for students and faculty.

Interaction with other departments:

  • Coordinate key administrative processes with relevant departments and team members on exchanges, internships, final projects (PFG and PFC), credit recognitions, etc.
  • Collaborate with the departments of Admissions, Marketing, Planning, Documentation, Student Services, Campus Life, Registrar's Office, Maintenance, etc.
  • Oversee the appropriate execution of the operational budget of the program

Internal Development:

  • Assist the Dean and Associate Director in the coordination and implementation of new initiatives
  • Provide highquality data and information to the Dean and track measurement of student performance and achievements.
  • Work closely with program assistants to assure smooth teamwork, good communication, and effective teamwork
  • Take responsibility for special projects, as instructed by the Dean and the Associate Director

Qualifications:

Requirements:


  • Master's Degree from a top university.
  • Bilingual, or advanced proficiency, in English and Spanish (written and oral), with substantial professional experience in both languages.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, including supervisory functions
  • At least 2 years of experience in higher education management.
  • Track record of customer interface and excellent organization skills
  • Strong management capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and high level of accountability.
  • Ability to create a sense of community among the team.
  • Experience in multistakeholder environments, as well as excellent communication skills and a strong customeroriented profile.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Curious, eager to learn and openminded.
  • Strong desire to work in a multicultural environment.
