RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with Companies HSSE standards and lifesaving rules.
  • Ensure that inspection program is performing in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, ITP, Quality Procedure, etc.
  • Ensure that approved inspectors are assigned to work locations as identified in the approved ITP and monitor proper coverage of owner's inspection.
  • Ensure that inspectors dispatched to job sites have been fully informed of all requirements and deliverables and has provided the inspectors with necessary documents such as process control plans, inspection and test plans, prints, specifications, etc.
  • Ensure that all inspection result / observations are reported in the webbased system in timely manner.
  • Interface with the inspectors, supplier's representatives, construction representatives and Shell personnel in a professional manner.
  • Support the personnel by performing additional tasks as directed and commensurate with his/her skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (DUTIES)

  • Reinforce the shell HSSE requirements to the inspectors.
  • Actively participate in Safety meeting and walkdown program.
  • Assist / Review of supplier / contractor quality documents (quality plan, ITP, quality procedures, etc.)
  • Responding to requests for inspections (Daly inspection Schedule). These requests may include phone or Email, or other means of methodology that is agreed by company and Contractor.
  • Verify that requests for inspections are consistent with the approved ITP.
  • Knowing the status of all inspectors, their location and availability daily.
  • Maintaining a list of approved inspectors and backups as approved by Project.
  • Review daily inspection reports in the webbased system and provide feedback to inspector and (or) report to Quality manager if required.
  • Provide statistic of inspection in regular basis (weekly, monthly) to Quality Assurance Engineer.
  • Provide real time information feedback to Project Group on Quality Issues and concerns.
  • Tracking equipment inspections and shipment status as directed.
  • Lead / participate quality audit upon request.
  • Discuss quality trend with Quality Engineer / Inspection Coordinator and provide improvement plan if any.
  • Provide resolution of ongoing quality issue in consultation with discipline engineer.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrable knowledge level of Flawless Project Delivery.
  • Have knowledge of industrial codes and standards (AWS, ASTM, ASME, API, ISO, NEC, etc.)
  • Able to read and understand Drawings
  • Able to issue and follow up Non-Conformance Reports
  • Able to identify MATERIALS that are substandard and that do not meet the requirements of the job specification (rogue and counterfeit items).
  • Able to review and interpret quality records and determine associated compliance with requirements (Performance data, test record, inspection record, MTR and other quality data and documents)
  • Have knowledge of calibration of equipment and measuring requirements.
  • Familiar with Equipment Preservation Requirements and its position in the integrated preservation process. This includes preservation and safe shipment of products/ materials. Familiar with requirements for heavy lifting, road transportation and dropped objects.
  • Have knowledge of the basics for planning and scheduling
  • Have knowledge of basic troubleshooting.
  • Have knowledge and experience with gauge control, calibration and gauging requirements and techniques.
  • Able to understand identification and traceability related to equipment /products /materials /samples and the associated documents/records relating to conformance /nonconformance, results from manufacturing processes and results from monitoring /measurement processes.
  • Familiar with welding and NDE techniques.
  • Familiar with pressure vessel and piping fabrication / testing process.
  • Familiar with type of rotating equipment and assembling process, inspection requirements.
  • Familiar with general requirements of fire proofing and insulation.
  • Familiar with civil and structure inspection requirements.
  • Must be organized and able to multitask.
  • Strong trouble shooting and analytical skills
  • Experience with or willing to learn factbased decision making and root cause analysis, evaluation of supplier corrective and preventative actions and determination if these actions were effective.
  • Written and oral communication skills with both individuals and groups.
  • Read, write (inspection report, technical report) and speak fluent English
  • Experience working in difficult locations and with diverse construction personnel (remote, foreign, arctic, etc.).
  • Flexible work hours with weekend work required.
  • Willing to travel occasionally both in and out of town if required.
