Duties and Responsibilities

_Vision and Values_

As Runner, I fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them, plus our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness.


_Wellness_

I will fully embrace, implement and safeguard the overall Wellness philosophy, concepts and programs such as Sleep with Six Senses, Eat With Six Senses and Grow With Six Senses.

All aspects of these wellness and initiatives will be adopted and implemented throughout the operation and its strategic planning and development.


_Sustainability_
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at Six Senses.

I will ensure all directives on environmental protection and preservation, re-usage and minimum wastage, purchasing and packaging such as the abolition of single-use plastic, social responsibility and all other practices documented in the Sustainability Guidelines are followed in the department to maintain a harmonious and sensitive approach to our environment and cultural surroundings.


_ Operational Ownership_
As Runner, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

  • Assist in the control of their outlet operational budget, ensuring that all costs are strictly controlled maximizing profitability.
  • Attend regular meetings and briefings to keep informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
  • Be familiar with food menus and wine menu offered in outlets.
  • Ensure the prompt and efficient service required by the resorts standards.
  • Ensure all misenplace for restaurant service is correctly prepared prior to opening hour of service.
  • Inspect condition and cleanliness of workplace menus and wine list, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus or wine lists as changes occur.
  • Ensure working area is of exemplary clean nature.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager.
  • Follow opening and closing duties checklist.
  • Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
  • Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

_Skills and Experience_


To execute the position of Runner, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results.

I possess a minimum hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school and more than one year's experience in a similar operational role.

I am a personally involved, visible and proactive host with excellent organizational skills.

I have an intuitive sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer and I have experience and I am able to work in a cross-cultural environment positively.

Technical skills include Advanced MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including MICROS/point of sell platforms. I have knowledge of hotel/resort and policies on discounts/food promotion, etc.


I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
