PayRetailers is a payment gateway designed to handle mass online payments to the Latin American market.

The company combines local markets expertise with payment technology enabling global merchants to successfully expand their business into high growth, emerging markets while eliminating the many operational complexities of managing cross-border payments.


You will be responsible for leading the company's key projects, overseeing a team of PMO and Functional Analysts, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, as well as meeting all functional and business requirements.

The Head of Project Management will collaborate closely with various departments, create C-level reports, and contribute to the company's overall success.


Job duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, and Functional Analysts, ensuring their professional growth, productivity, and adherence to project management best practices.
  • Oversee the company's key projects, ensuring effective planning, execution, monitoring, and control to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business strategies and requirements.
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies, processes, and tools to drive efficiency, consistency, and quality across project execution.
  • Create and present periodic reports to Clevel executives, providing updates on project status, milestones, risks, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within established financial parameters.
  • Foster strong collaboration and communication among project teams, stakeholders, and departments, facilitating effective decisionmaking and issue resolution.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance project management practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in project delivery.

Experience and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading, developing, and nurturing teams of project managers in a technology company, preferably within the fintech industry.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience in project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and meeting all functional and business requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams to achieve their goals.
  • PMP certification or Master Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Deep knowledge of the payments industry, particularly in the Latin American market, including trends, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a focus on identifying and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish is essential. Portuguese language skills are a plus but not required.
  • Availability to travel 4 days per month.
