Purpose of the function:


This individual provides strategic and operational HR partnering, leading the development and implementation of HR solutions and change management programs, as well as people development and engagement activities.

While this position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, it does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organization.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Effectively serves as STRATEGIC PARTNER

  • Works closely with organizational leaders to align HR activities and initiatives with the organization's overall strategy
  • Develops a deep understanding of the organization's business, industry, and market dynamics
  • Provides business specific inputs to the development and execution of the people strategy to the HRD
  • Coaches line managers on complex people issues to ensure they are able to carry out their people management responsibilities effectively

Acts as CHANGE AGENT

  • Plays a crucial role in driving and supporting organizational & cultural change: manages resistance to change while fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience
  • Develops implementation plans to support change management initiatives, including organization redesign. Responsible for planning and executing change initiatives
  • Helps the organization navigate transitions, such as mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring, and ensures that the human capital is equipped to adapt to these changes
  • Is a role model for DS Values & Corporate Behaviors and takes part in core initiatives to promote such values & behaviors
  • Drives a High Performance Culture and is recognized as a true business change agent

Is an HR EXPERT

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Translates HR strategy into practical and effective HR solutions in conjunction with the Know How Centers and the business stakeholders
  • Works with HRD to identify training needs and ensures appropriate programs are developed. Monitors training success
  • Works closely with Csuite, line managers and employees to align development plans that meet the business needs
  • Is proficient in workforce planning, recruitment, and performance management to ensure that the organization has the right talent to execute its strategy
  • Oversees annual performance management cycles, calibration, talent management and succession planning initiatives, in conjunction with HRD
  • Works with business stakeholders to develop robust succession plans and follows up on the execution of development and retention activities for HGP (high growth potential)
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and terminations. Conducts effective investigations while maintaining indepth knowledge of legal requirements.

Serves as the VOICE OF THE EMPLOYEE

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Works with HRD and managers to run and analyze data resulting from the employee engagement survey and supports the implementation of action plans for improvement
  • Allows individual employees to have clear horizontal and vertical progression paths

Project Management & Contribution:


  • Manages and/or contributes to local, European and Global projects related to areas under responsibility
  • Manages other significant HR projects as required

Skills and additional Requirements:


  • University degree
  • Fluent in English is a must
  • Knowledge of Spanish labor laws is required
  • Project management skills
  • Capacity to deal with a wide range of stakeholders with conflicting priorities
  • Strong networking ability across the company at all levels
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, influence and problem solving skills
  • High level of passion, drive and enthusiasm for HR
  • High sensitivity and awareness of Diversity & Inclusion and CSR
  • Ability to meet deadlines and cope with pressure in a fast pace environment
  • Strong communication skills and assertiviness
  • Robust, resilient, approachable and diplomatic with the confidence to deal with challenging senior leaders
  • Experience as a HR Generalist and/or Business Partner in a matrix organization
  • Experience diverse international environment, with broad knowledge across a wide range of HR disciplines and a proven track record of success"
