Job Purpose:

Ensure that the F&B Strategy is delivered by the wider team. Interpret the strategy and develop plans to deliver the strategy. Establish and meet customer needs. Develop category performance and innovation for growing sales and margin. Deliver effective product ranges and pricing and promotions strategies. Manage and lead supplier relationships to drive value for both guests and the business. Provide support to the cross-functional teams in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiate and challenge all existing supplier contracts, and manage contract negotiations going forward.
Range, Product and Supplier management, including joint business plans with the largest suppliers.
Build and lead the annual retail customer plan; the commercial activities designed to drive Retail sales based upon the film slate and time of year.
Work with colleagues across the business to implement the plan and measure results.
Tactically trade the plan on a weekly basis, determined by recent historical sales and upcoming forecasted sales. Ensure the plan is sufficiently robust to deliver the sales plan at all times.
Develop an approach to our use of consumer and market insight; use insight to define the category definition that supports each guest type and guest needs.
Identify product and portfolio opportunities on internal industry and external industries, aligned with similar guest types.
Understand competitor performance, and innovation in the cinema retail market.
Support the weekly trade planning meeting with Retail colleagues. Drive performance.
Create a test and learn environment and process to support trial, signoff and implementation of new products and concepts.
Oversee leadership for Trading Assistant, ensuring all line manager responsibilities are met.

Requirements:

A degree in Business Administration, Food & Beverage management or Hospitality Management would be highly appreciated.
At least 5 years of experience in similar roles, possibly within the Food, Entertainment, Confectionery or Drinks industry.
Extensive category and buying experience in a multisite environment, preferably in retail or hospitality sectors.
Fluent in English and one language of our South Europe Area Spanish, Portuguese, German or Italian.
Supplier management and joint business plans.
Track record in driving category profitability.
Dynamic and proactive person, 'cando' attitude.
Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
Professional and appropriate communication skills, able to persuade and influence others in a positive manner.
Competent networker, builds strong relationships.
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team.
POS, Marketing and "Customer Experience/Journey" knowledge.
