A leading Valencian company in Engineering Solutions for Smart Factories and a manufacturer of high-precision cutting machines, software, and automation systems is looking for an immediate hire of a Junior Sales Area Manager for EEUU.


Will be responsible for an assigned area in the USA, spending 50% of the time in Valencia developing agents, distributors, and clients, and 50% in the USA attending trade shows and visits.

Will report to the company's Commercial Director.


Responsibilities:

Sales Plan Achievement: Meet annual sales targets including revenue goals, average discount levels, activity deployment, and completion of actions according to the planned schedule.

Client Follow-up and Visits: Track and visit target clients in the assigned sector and area to develop long-term corporate strategy.

Sales Plan Reporting: Notify the Commercial Director in advance of potential deviations from the sales plan in the territory and collaborate in implementing contingency plans.

On-site Activity Deployment: Regular and effective deployment in the assigned territory: 50% of workdays on average, potentially higher during peak periods or lower if required by activities.

Activity Planning: Maintain an up-to-date personal activity calendar, anticipating visits and actions well in advance to optimize itineraries and travel expenses.

Sales Funnel Management: Master sales funnel management principles, constantly and effectively managing new opportunities, visits, offers, negotiations, closings, contracts, and payments in assigned territories.

KPI Responsibility: Manage individual KPIs, including new clients, client visits to company facilities, number of ongoing operations, closed operations, total sales, and new product sales.

Regular Reporting: Weekly phone reports and monthly written reports to the Commercial Director. Share activity calendar.

Market Know-how Contribution: Provide the company with updated market know-how, including competitors, prices, clients, distributors, market share, trends, and risks.

Agent and Collaborator Support: Continuously support and evaluate the existing network of agents and collaborators to bring new opportunities and sales in the territory.

Client Relationship Maintenance: Maintain regular contact with existing clients to monitor their progress and satisfaction and source new commercial opportunities and updated market knowledge.

Operational Autonomy: Demonstrate a high degree of operational, technical, and commercial autonomy. Utilize commercial meetings and training sessions effectively.

Budget Compliance: Adhere to travel and marketing budgets, keeping expense reports up to date.

Budget and Action Plan Participation: Actively participate in the preparation of annual budgets and action plans with the Commercial Director.

Support Activities: Upon request by the Commercial Director, the Area Manager may support post-sales phases such as machine reception, installation, translation, training, etc.


Requirements:


  • Preferably an engineering degree or a medium/high level vocational training.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial role in the machinery sector or similar.
  • Spanish and English spoken and written at a professional level
  • Organizational, communicative, and negotiation skills.
  • Customeroriented.
