Data Protection Officer (DPO)
We are seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of Data Protection Officer (DPO) within our partner.

As the DPO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our company's adherence to data protection regulations and fostering a culture of privacy.

This leadership position requires a combination of extensive knowledge in privacy and data protection, along with effective communication skills. In this hands-on role, you will actively drive initiatives to safeguard sensitive information and lead compliance efforts.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, both locally and remotely, and work closely with stakeholders to maintain our commitment to privacy and data security.


Responsibilities
1.


Ensure Regulatory Compliance:


  • Oversee and ensure compliance with data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other applicable regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to data privacy.

Advisory and Education:


  • Provide advice and guidance to senior management, employees, and stakeholders on privacy and data protection matters.
  • Conduct periodic training on privacy policy and best data protection practices.

Security Incident Management:


  • Coordinate response to data security incidents and ensure timely notification to authorities and affected parties, when required.
  • Conduct internal investigations in case of data breaches and oversee the implementation of corrective measures.

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA):


  • Conduct privacy impact assessments for projects and processes involving the processing of personal data.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure privacy principles are incorporated from the design stage.

Cooperation with Regulatory Authorities:


  • Act as the primary point of contact with data protection authorities.
  • Coordinate audits and regulatory inquiries related to privacy.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of privacy and data protection.
  • In-depth knowledge of data protection legislation, especially GDPR.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to educate diverse audiences on privacy matters.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe) or equivalent, are an advantage.

Benefits
Salary Up to 28.000€

Six-month contract.
