HEAD OF SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS

BARCELONA

From MCR International, we are collaborating with a leading global pharmaceutical company committed to scientific innovation and the development of medicines that improve the quality of life for people worldwide.

Mission:

As Head of Scientific Publications, you will be responsible for leading and directing all activities related to the company's scientific publication globally.

This includes managing multidisciplinary teams, developing and implementing publication strategies, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of professionals dedicated to scientific publication management, including Medical Writers.
Develop and execute strategic publication plans to ensure visibility and impact of scientific data generated by the company.
Collaborate closely with internal Clinical Trials teams, as well as external partners, to ensure accuracy and integrity of published scientific data.
Stay updated on trends and regulations in scientific publications to ensure regulatory and ethical compliance in all publication activities.
Manage the budget and resources allocated to the publications and Medical Writing department, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
Represent the company at conferences and scientific events, establishing relationships with the scientific community and promoting the company's reputation in the field of pharmaceutical research.
Requirements:
University degree in a relevant scientific discipline, preferably with advanced studies (e.g., Master's or PhD).
Experience in team management of at least 3 years.
Demonstrated experience in creating strategic publication plans in the pharmaceutical industry or from agencies, as well as in Medical Writing areas, and Medical Affairs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data into clear and accessible messages.
Strong leadership skills for direct and crossfunctional teams. Experience in team building from scratch will be valued.
