Position Summary


The Senior Manager is an integral part of the EMEA Application Support leaders to optimize use of resources and knowledge, interacting closely with managers and teams.

Responsibilities:


The position, is accountable for all activities handled by the Application Support team in Southern Europe, for the identified product lines within Chrom-TEA, in alignment with the regional Sales leadership team to support the EMEA AOP and to ensure customer satisfaction.


In this role, you will:

  • Provide leadership, clear goals and direction to reporting colleagues (Application Scientists) and team to achieve the goals.
  • Promote the respect of Safety & Security rules among team members, in the lab and in the field.
  • Work together with Application Support managers responsible for other product lines in EMEA to achieve regional team goals
  • Drive the team to provide support and training to our Sales colleagues and to our customers to ensure their happiness, satisfaction while balancing at the same time the pre
How you will get there?

As a Senior Manager for Application Support activities in EMEA South, your role will have several aspects, including the following ones:

  • Ensure adequate use of the management tools (e.g. SFDC, R.A.D.A.R., metrics and PPI business systems).
  • Ensure the team provides highquality and effective support and working closely with factorybased product and vertical marketing teams.
  • Actively handle demo inventory to ensure appropriate equipment is in place to support sales and customers
  • Develop talent through annual reviews and PMD process, being attuned to employee satisfaction/engagement topics and building an inclusive environment to work in
  • Ensure employee development and training for technical, commercial, soft skills and sales proficiency.

As part of the southern leadership team, the Senior Manager ensures team's work life balance and leads the team positively through change while meeting collaboration goals.


Doing so, the Senior Manager supports and drives continuous improvement initiatives to build and maintain core business processes and procedures, designed to achieve customer satisfaction.

Required qualifications

  • Education: Degree in chemistry, biochemistry or similar
  • Language: Proficient in English plus either French, Italian or Spanish
  • Current experience of leading a technical team with the ability to demonstrate robust leadership capabilities & experience of developing team performance
  • Expert knowledge of the actual market/technologies (i.e. Chrom/TEA and regional exposure)
  • Tools: Microsoft Office, CRM (SFDC)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication style
  • Good selforganizational skills, and the agility to quickly reorganize schedule when needed.
  • Readiness to travel mainly within the appointed region (EMEA South) frequently as well through Europe (overnight travels: 3040% of the time)
  • Driving license
