You will belong to an (IPP) which engages in the full management of projects to generate power from renewable resources using photovoltaic, csp, biomass, wind, hydroelectric and cogeneration power technologies.

We're rapidly expanding, both here in Spain, and abroad (USA, UK, France, Italy), and they're looking to add an
Environmental technician (French speaker) to their team based in
Madrid .

Reporting Directly to the Environmental Global manager and working closely with the project development team, this person will mainly help Energy's development team to evaluate the land projects viability from an environmental perspective.

Responsibilities:

Organize and support the documentation of the projects from an environmental perspective, taking into account the following guide
Review the environmental Impact studies of the renewable energy projects to obtain authorizations.
Conduct the environmental assessment of lands/farms for possible project locations.
Elaborate the mapping and raster analysis.
Prepare and follow up the documentation for administrative authorizations.

Minimum requirements:

University Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Marine Sciences or similar.
Advanced level in ArcGis or QGis is essential.
Professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience conducting Environmental Studies.
Languages: high level of English and french is required.

Desired requirements

Experience with Google Earth or similar.
Experience with cadastre and other types of land tool information.
Experience in renewable energies (mainly photovoltaic and wind)
Ability to work in a team, problem solving, interpersonal skills, good communication
A dynamic, proactive person with the ability to adapt and work in a dynamic, fluid and resultsoriented environment.
Basic knowledge of urban planning.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs.
