Job Description:

This role will assist the Billing & Collection Manager in managing the team in Europe.

The Team Leader is responsible for managing the performance of the team in line with the vision and values of the business unit.


Core responsibilities:


  • Manage and monitor daily operations of the assigned team members (local and/or remote) to ensure completion of all tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on collection and billing activities and progress.
  • Ensure the team KPIs are being met on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
  • Reconcile customer accounts on a regular basis.
  • Process incoming payments and refunds as and when required.
  • Identify and communicate information regarding highrisk accounts and refer them to 3rdparty collections where appropriate.
  • Maintain and engage with a portfolio of aging receivables accounts to ensure accurate and timely recovery of all past due accounts.
  • Work with other business units to maximize collection and decrease churn rate.
  • Handle all escalations from customers and other business units.
  • Act as an interface with the external collection agencies where appropriate.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for the hiring of new teammembers.
  • Assist and coordinate training and mentoring new team members with regards to established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct performance appraisals every 3 or 6 months with teammembers (where required) to provide feedback on performance, indicate areas of improvement and identify potential training needs.
  • Work on projects and perform other workrelated duties as needed.

Qualifications:


Qualifications and profile:


  • Degree in a Business related discipline (Management, Business, Finance) or any equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in collection, billing and/or customer service operations.
  • High proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Proficiency in Google suite tools would be an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is a must. Proficiency in additional languages would be a plus.
