Objectives of this role:

Develop and maintain data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume & complexity.
Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools and increase data accessibility.
Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on its work.
Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
Define company data assets (data models) for S3, Athena, relational databases and similar technologies in public cloud infrastructure.
Design data integrations & data quality framework.
Work closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture.

The skills we would love to see in your suitcase

Software engineering background with 2+ years experience as a Data Engineer.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline.
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
Experience within cloud environments
Attention to detail with robust analytical skills.
Experience supporting and working with crossfunctional teams in a dynamic environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Time management and organizational skills.
