We are looking for a _Lab Manager_ to join the Discovery Research (DR) Department at Instituto Grifols S.A.


What your responsibilities will be

  • Manage and coordinate the DR Laboratory.
  • To be in charge of developing and implementing new technologies for the DR group.
  • Coordinate and supervise activities related to the management of facilities, equipment maintenance and audits, to meet with the different regulations and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and review procedures and reports linked to laboratory and research activities.
  • Contribute to ensure that activities are performed in accordance with established protocols, timelines and within the limits of safety standards.
  • Manage and coordinate the laboratory team members.
  • Provide technical support and manage different PoC studies of the Discovery Research group, as well as coordinate the laboratory tests/studies planning so that they can be carried out in accordance with the defined timelines.

  • Graduate in Health Sciences (Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, ). Other studies such as Master's and/or Doctorate will be valued.
  • Advanced English (C1).
  • Office package (especially Excel), Graphpad (valuable) and knowledge of Data Integrity.
  • At least 35 years of experience in management, supervision, and organization of laboratories, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices principles (experience in internal and external audits will be valued).
  • Experience in managing laboratory equipment and personnel.
  • Experience in working with health and safety procedures will be valued.
  • Skills in laboratory data interpretation and experience in procedures/technical literature elaboration.
  • Highly developed problem solving and prioritization skills.
  • Proven collaboration and communication skills as well as ability to work as a team member.

Flexibility for U Program:
Remote working 1 day a week


Flexible schedule:
Monday-Thursday 7-10 to 16-19h and Friday 8-15h
