This position is within the Enterprise Solutions Service, Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT/ESS) in Valencia, Spain. The incumbent reports to an Information Systems Officer within OICT/ESS.


Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Information Systems Officer and general supervision of the Enterprise Solutions Service Chief, the incumbents will perform the following functions:

  • Conducts research on new technologies as requested; keeps abreast of developments in the QA and Testing field.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A university degree in computer science, information technology or a relevant field is desirable. A recognized first-level university degree may be accepted in lieu of two years of required experience.

Job - Specific Qualification
An International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification is required.

Work Experience

A minimum of five years (or three years if graduated with a bachelor's degree) of progressively responsible experience in information systems analysis and testing is required.

Experience with agile methodology is required.

Experience with Testing automation is desirable.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.

Assessment

Special Notice


Must have passed the United Nations Global General Service Test (GGST) at Headquarters or an equivalent locally-administered test at Offices Away from Headquarters.
