The purpose of this position is to lead the Channel Management function, with accountability for development and implementation of overall Office & Traditional channels strategy aligned with BIC strategic goals and operational capabilities
- via development of profitable channel models within the Office & Traditional universe (Division 1000 at BIC), across all categories & continents;
- via tools and processes for in-market optimization.


Proactively and collaboratively work across the Company to determine strategies that can effectively be used as a lever to grow business, revenue and improve profit for the organization.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS:


Develop Office & Traditional channels strategy and ensure organizational alignment and buy-in.


Define channel guidelines across business levers; in particular for:

  • Pricing strategy & sales policy,
  • Category vision for specific channels (Office Supply, Stationers ),
  • Brand visibility development, online & offline,
  • Promotion management...

Set up tools, processes and trainings for in-market optimization, including cascading of KPIs (for Channel vs. local teams), hosting of "Channel Summits" every semester and upskilling of local teams (via dedicated trainings).

  • Provides analytical inputs on category and regional opportunities.
  • Align between functions involved in Division 1000 (especially, Sales, Marketing, Advanced Analytics, Finance) and coordinate programs and actions needed to implement recommendations.
  • Buildup of channels expertise across organization, including driving to common understanding and "language" around Division 1000. Share best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commercial or a related sales field.
  • 10 + years of business experience in Sales/Commercial role within FMCG, B2B, managing multisite operations.
  • At least 5 years of prior Sales and Account Management experience required. Previous role in sales / commercial highly preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a large multisite operations organization.
  • Proven success developing Office and Traditional structures.
  • Strong financial analysis skills a must.
  • Highly proficient using financial analysis tools such as Excel, JDEdwards, BI, etc... Knowledge of IRI, Nielsen systems a plus.
  • Resultsoriented leader with proven track record for delivering sustainable results.
  • Strong change management capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation skills and capability to communicate effectively with different level of people inside/outside of organization
  • Fluent business English.
  • Ability to travel 30% to 40% of the year.
