Land Manager Renewable Projects (M/F/d) - Spain:

BayWa r.e. Projects España S.L.U. - a wholly-owned subsidiary of BayWa r.e.

AG - is responsible for the development, structuring and execution of utility-scale wind and solar energy projects in Spain & Portugal.

Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team in Spain and are currently looking for a

Land Manager in our Madrid office.

What You Will Do:

You will be in constant coordination with the inhouse greenfield Teams, define and manage the land securing approach strategy in the Iberian Region (mainly Spain) for renewable projects (Wind, PV, Hybrid, Floating, Agri-PV) and H2 & storage projects.
Overview and manage the land securement approach in other development workstreams within the company: JVs, codevelopment agreements, etc.
Structure and manage the relation with land brokers and/or real state agencies, when needed (also bringing the network to the company) and coordinate the negotiation of land agreements.
Coordinate the expropriation rights process for the renewable projects and their evacuation infrastructures.
Analysis of the land at the urban planning level.
Provide support to the internal legal department in the preparation of purchase and lease agreements contracts.
Review and analysis of land agreements during Due Diligence in M&A processes regarding sitesecuring, track the project progress and identify the critical path.
If necessary, represent the company with local authorities, municipalities, etc.

What You Bring:

At least 5 years of experience in site securing of renewable energy projects preferable in Spain (Portugal is a plus).
Deep knowledge of sitesecuring and permitting.
Good understanding of the real estate legal framework for renewable energy projects.
GIS basic experience is a plus
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working with external advisers.
Aptitude for teamcoordination.
Ability to travel locally as required.
Native in Spanish, fully fluent in English.
