Are you interested in joining an international Solar energy platform who develops, builds, and operates renewable energy projects for the long-term.

_My client is looking to hire a Project Controller. Madrid, Spain_

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monthend and yearend closing activities: daytoday accounting, monthend accruals, account reconciliations, invoicing, reconciliation of Spanish GAAP books to IFRS, trend analysis, forecasts, cash flows preparation of local statutory accounts.
  • Cash management, preparation of payments, relationship with banks.
  • Participate and support internal and external audits.
  • Responsible for reviewing and preparing payment of local taxes in connection with tax consultants.
  • Ensure timely preparation and review of the corporate income tax returns, their filing as per the statutory requirements and manage overall financial reporting requirements related to taxes both internally or externally.
  • Be the liaison with local tax authorities in connection with external accounting and tax consultants.

Do you have

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance and a recognized accounting qualification
  • At least 4 years of experience, ideally within an energy, utility, industrial company or similar industry.
  • Strong technical skills and handson experience in Spanish GAAP, IFRS, consolidation and tax. Experience with SAP is desirable.
  • Strong project management skills to project manage the audit, external providers, quarterly consolidation.
  • Good understanding of financial systems and technology
  • Multinational experience and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse regions and cultures, including within virtual teams.
