The Computational Solid Mechanics Group at IMDEA Materials Institute is seeking to fill a Research Assistant position to work on the simulation of additive manufacturing processes.

The researcher will work on developing finite element models for complex thermomechanical processes and their calibration using experimental data.

Funding for this position will come from IRIDISCENTE, a competitive research project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

The tasks envisioned for the researcher involve using Mechanics, Finite Elements, Programming and Statistics. The researcher will be enrolled in a PhD program and carry out his/her PhD dissertation while working at IMDEA.

IMDEA Materials Institute holds the "María de Maeztu" seal of excellence, awarded to the best research centres in Spain.
