Role Purpose
Leads the HSE assurance department.

This includes responsibility for global auditing of sites and suppliers as well as governance on all HSE legal aspects respectively to global and country level.

Overviews all initiatives and actions to HSE related regulatory topics. Drives initiatives in implementation and continuous improvement on HSE regulatory topics.
Ensures legal compliance with respect to HSE. Leads the global HSE regulatory compliance program, providing co-ordination, support and guidance to all Sandoz operations worldwide.

Promotes a positive HSE Culture with influence across all levels of the organization This includes governance of the HSE regulatory framework, controls and reporting, HSE audit of external and internal networks and HSE related TPRM aspects to comply with legal, regulatory country specific requirements and internal standards.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sandoz HSE Leadership teams and major stakeholders to assess organizational needs and supports an aligned global health, safety and environment strategy to manage HSE risk, ensure compliance, prevent incidents and deliver industryleading safety performance.
  • Aligned with this strategy, develop, plan and drive implementation of appropriate policies and programs to reduce current and future HSE related risks and liabilities.
  • Influences leaders and associates to embed HSE in the Sandoz culture.
  • Facilitates the definition of HSE and related KPIs, monitors performance and ensures accurate reporting of relevant data.
  • Leads regulatory HSE assurance, which includes internal, external audits and the HSE TPRM experts
  • Ensures relevant HSE training is provided by the most efficient and effective means to the HSE community in accordance with identified training needs
  • Establishes a strong and effective network and connection with Business Partners, HSE networks and STO HSE community. Provide ongoing coaching and support to HSE leaders worldwide.
  • Curious to deploy new ideas and to use new innovative digital tools and platforms for providing regulatory HSE direction.

Minimum requirements

  • University Degree (min. Masters degree, or eqvlt.).
  • 10+ years of proven experience in HSE domain
  • Solid program management experience including budget, senior management reporting and leading matrixed teams.
  • Solid experience in strategy definition and enterprise program management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, managing diverse partners with a high level of personal credibility.
  • Fluent in English written and spoken
  • Location preferred: Madrid. But other location can be considered.
