We are looking for a

Business Improvement Analyst

(Career Development Program 2023) based in
-
Barcelona.

  • The purpose of this position is to support the Pricing and Business Intelligence Team in the definition, analysis, and execution of Business Improvement projects. The Pricing and Business Intelligence Team comprises of Margin Enhancement, Business Intelligence and Analytics and Business Process Support departments. He or She will be trained on Global Business Procedures, Product portfolio and Market Segments, Key business metrics and Business Improvement techniques. The incumbent will be also trained on global AP pricing and account management systems like GPS, PRT or AAC. He or She will also develop further his/her analytical skills and knowledge of advanced analytical, visualization and Automation software like Minitab, QlikSense, MS Power Automate or Agile Point.
  • The incumbent will participate in a wide range of Business Improvement Projects, and will be able to synthetize complex business information, collect and research data, use intuition and experience gathered from data to design new work flows and improve the decision making process. He or She will work with multidisciplinary teams including Sales, Logistics, Assets, Customer Service, Marketing, and Customer Engineering; and will develop Project Management skills including communication and influencing. He or She will also be exposed to the Leadership team as will participate or even manage some of the key business improvement projects in the subregion.

Our CDP is structured to launch your career through three different assignments; there is also the possibility of one assignment being abroad.


  • The rotational assignments are crafted to develop your technical and professional skills, accelerate your learning, test your creativity, critical thinking, and problemsolving skills, throughout your rotations and get a better understanding of your areas of interest, strengths, and career aspirations. The objective is, after three assignments, for you to have gathered a broad knowledge of our organisation and to further develop your career within Air Products on the long term.
    As a Business Improvement Analyst

, you will:


  • Find Best Mode of Supply for Merchant Customers
  • Understand Customer Attrition and Price/Volume Elasticity
  • Improve Packaged Gases Charges and Demurrage
  • Automate Value Added Business Processes
  • Collaborate in pricing programs definition and execution
  • Create advanced analysis of business metrics to support Business Improvement projects
  • Lead short/midterm improvement projects using Agile methodology
  • Participate in European Pricing community
  • Contribute to a satisfactory work environment within the Marketing and CSO departments

What we are looking for:


  • You are in your final year or graduated within last two (2) years from a university, with strong academic performance
  • Years of experience not more than 2 years
  • Good mathematical skills and ability to interact with data visualization software like QlikSense or Tableau are needed
  • Deep knowledge of MS Excel is required
  • Knowledge of MS Power Platform and other analytical or programming software like Minitab, Python, etc. is also desirable
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and able to be a team player
  • Selfaccountability: able to work with limited supervision
  • Eager to learn and strategic thinker
  • Fluent in Spanish and English. Any other language will be a plus
