Who We Are

The Role

We're on the hunt for a Security Sr. Engineer for our Security Infrastructure team to join Global IT's team in Spain.

You will participate in the design, build, deployment and operation of security - focused infrastructure and provide consultation, architectural review, risk assessment of Solera ́s systems and networks.

As this is a Sr role it's important to have a high level of initiative and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity & security of enterprisewide cyber systems & networks
  • Maintain situational awareness of cyber activity by reviewing open source reporting for new vulnerabilities, malware, or other threats that have the potential to impact the organization
  • Support cyber security initiatives through both predictive & reactive analysis, articulating emerging trends to leadership & staff
  • Coordinate resources during enterprise incident response efforts, driving incidents to timely & complete resolution
  • Employ advanced forensic tools & techniques for attack reconstruction, including forensic analysis, volatile data collection & analysis
  • Review threat data from various sources & develop custom signatures or other custom detection capabilities
  • Correlate actionable security events from various sources & develop unique automation & correlation techniques
  • Interface with external entities including law enforcement organizations, intelligence community organizations & other government agencies as required
What You'll Bring

  • Perform cyber threat intelligence analysis, correlate actionable security events, perform network traffic analysis using raw packet data, net flow, IDS, IPS, & custom sensor output as it pertains to the cyber security of communication networks
  • Participate in the coordination of resources during incident response efforts helping our SOC team, when necessary, to drive incidents to timely and complete resolution
  • Deliver status reports, briefings, recommendations, & findings to management & executives as required
  • Minimum 5 years Professional technical experience in the Information security field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with security technologies including Vulnerability Scanners, Firewalls & Log Analysis
  • Minimum 2 years working with SIEM, Network Behavior Analysis tools, Antivirus, & Network Packet Analyzers; minimum 1 years' experience working with Digital Forensics tools in an Enterprise environment & conducting Cyber Incident Response activities in an Enterprise environment
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute in a team and professional environment & to effectively manage multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies & risk
  • Strong communication (verbal & written) & interpersonal skills in English
  • Strong focus on customer service and outcome
  • Proven ability to adapt & maintain a flexible approach to changing needs or priorities
  • Strong reporting & analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong problemsolving skill with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
