Development of synthesis and functionalisation procedures for these materials.

Characterisation of the main physicochemical characteristics of the materials prepared.


Optimising the design and performance of MCTs by carrying out experimental research to improve the efficiency and stability of the cycles.

Writing of scientific publications, participation in research events and presentation of results obtained at international conferences

To be assessed:
Experience in techniques for synthesis and functionalisation of porous materials, e.g.; zeolites, mesostructured materials, carbonaceous materials, etc.

Experience in materials characterisation techniques, e.g.; TGA, XRD, TEM, SEM, XPS, DVS, gas physisorption, chemisorption, ICP, FTIR, Raman, etc.

Have completed specific training courses relevant to the position offered.

Publication of articles in indexed journals.

Participation in research conferences.

Obtaining competitive grants.

Awards, mentions or other achievements.

Requisitos
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, Materials Engineering, Environmental Sciences or similar.

Be in a position to access a doctoral programme.

  • Valuable Master's degree in:Completion or completion of a Master's degree in the following fields is an advantage:
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Materials Science
  • Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion
  • Environmental Chemistry / Sustainable Chemistry
  • Renewable Energies, Energy Management and Efficiency
  • Professional experience not required.

Knowledge of specific techniques:

  • Office tools
  • Good oral and written skills in English

Transversal skills:

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Skill communication
The position offered requires occasional participation in events outside Extremadura. Periodic short-term stays at international research centres are foreseen during the PhD period.
