Descripción
The incorporation of the selected person would be made to the Thermal Storage department of the research center.

  • Rational design, synthesis and characterization of PCMs that show high enthalpy solidliquid phase transitions
  • Evaluation and screening of PCM under development: heat capacity, cyclability and influence of additives on these properties.
  • Optimization for longterm storage.
  • Scaled up for further testing on storage heating/cooling systems
  • Study of the interaction between PCMs and the physical structures that contain them, such as thermal storage tanks, pipes, ducts, etc.
  • Acquisition of competitive financing, both private and public
  • Project management and administration
  • Close interdisciplinary collaboration with CIIAE colleagues. As well as collaboration with universities, research institutes and companies at a national and international level.
  • Support, supervision and tutoring of doctoral students, postdocs and master's students
  • Writing of scientific publications and presentation of results in international conferences

Challenges:
Increase power output by increasing thermal conductivity, improve stability, cyclability and encapsulation for higher system performance

If you are interested in this new project you have to send the following documentation:
