Created in 2005, IRB Barcelona is a leading research institute dedicated to conducting excellence in biomedicine and transferring results to clinical practice. The institute hosts 500 members from 45 nationalities and focuses on addressing basic questions in biology related to diseases like cancer, Alzheimer's, and diabetes amongst others. IRB Barcelona offers a Predoctoral Position for a young scientist eager to join Dr. Stefanie Wculek's lab, focusing on the innate immune system and immunometabolism.
The successful candidate will participate in collaborative projects, group meetings, scientific discussions, and manuscript writing while receiving comprehensive training in both hard and soft skills. The program requires candidates with a background in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Immunology, or related fields, and offers a stimulating and equal opportunity environment with career development support.
DUTIES:
- Develop collaborative projects with team members.
- Engage in group meetings and scientific discussions.
- Contribute to manuscript writing and career development activities.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
Must Have – Required:
- Completion of relevant university degrees with specific credit requirements.
Desirable:
- Highly motivated and collaborative individual with strong communication skills and experience with laboratory mouse models.
