The positions
- We are looking for two statisticians with strong methodological background in causal inference and evidence synthesis, to bring Novo Nordisk at the forefront of statistical methodological development in the pharmaceutical industry.
- As an expert in
causal inference you will be responsible for developing and implementing statistical methodologies focusing on optimising the interplay between clinical research questions, trial designs, and statistical inference methods. As such you will provide expert advice on the use of causal inference methods in randomised clinical trials and relevant strategies for handling post randomisation events.
- As an expert in
evidence synthesis you will be responsible for developing and implementing statistical methodologies focusing on Bayesian methods, quantitative evidence synthesis, bias modelling and decision analytic modelling. As such you will provide expert advice on transportability and generalisability of research data and the use of multiple data sources with a specific focus on enriching randomised clinical studies with for instance real world data.
- In
both positions you will ensure knowledge-sharing, training and mentoring of statisticians across our Biostatistics organisation in statistical methodology in general and in relation to their clinical projects. You will interact cross-functionally with stakeholders and management from our project organisation to explain the added value generated by new methodologies. To succeed in this position, it is essential that you are communicating effectively and capable of explaining complex theory in a simple way.

Qualifications
- Strong background in mathematics and statistics equivalent to PhD.
- A proven track record of research within causal inference methodology.
- or
- A proven track record of research within Bayesian inference, metaanalysis, or a related discipline within evidence synthesis.
- It will be an advantage if you have:
- Experience from clinical drug development.
About the department - We have recently established our Biostatistics Methods and Outreach department which currently consists of four internal colleagues with many years of experience and two PhD students. You will be part of this team of highly experienced statistical methodology experts and as we are currently hiring for both a head of department and new team members, you have the opportunity of being part of defining the scope of the department and setting the direction for our scientific ambitions.
