SPRIM is searching for a Scientific Affairs Business Development Consultant to support our growing medical excellence, medical Innovation and regulatory affairs department called the "Scientific Excellence Platform".


In this role you will focus on B2B marketing and sales activities to sell SPRIM services to Global Healthcare, Pharma, Biotech, Med Tech and Medical Nutrition companies.

You will work in close collaborations with our operations teams, managers and directors throughout our sales and business development process to find and grow new clients for SPRIM in Europe.

Based in Madrid, at our HQ, this role offers growth opportunities depending on results, skills and interest.

Functions & Jobs to be Done

  • Drive sales growth of our Medical and Scientific Affairs Portfolio of clients
  • Create a pipeline at New Business level
  • Identify new targets, and business opportunities within the field of medical affairs, scientific affairs, technology and Innovation services
  • Arrange, present, follow up with clientes
  • Prepare and Deliver presentations, lead discussions and manage follow up
  • Liaise and coordinate with medicals, scientific and regulatory teams to offer more detailed discussions or open new opportunities
  • Establish relationships with new clients
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Participate and lead with execution teams and practice leaders in the production of proposals / commercial offers,
  • Negotiate terms, prepare contracts with our Business Support team
  • Manage procurement process
  • Report on a weekly/monthly/quaterly basis progress of every step of the SPRIM BD process.
  • Work closely with and provide support to Medical/Regulatory Affairs Director and Business Development Director.
Sales driven, positive, enthusiastic and resilient B2B sales professional with:

  • Previous years of experience in a Sales and Business Development position within Life Science Consultancy, Healthcare Agency, Healthcare Innovation firm or similar.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of trends and challenges in the Pharma and Healthcare Industry : from medical affairs and innovation to regs and medical marketing.
  • Proven trackrecords of engagement capabilities and revenue generation capabilities, knowledge of sales process in agency and/or consultancy environments.
Languages and IT litteracy

  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in another language such as : Spanish, French or German
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Be used to work with cloud based and CRM solutions such as: Dynamics, Office 360, Sharepoint, OneDrive
