Summary:

In constant interaction with the Business Management and Headquarters teams, the Finance Manager - Europe & New Markets (E&NM) position plays a key role in the financial performance oversight and optimization of the portfolio, with a strong focus on value creation and proactive monitoring.

Responsible for supporting the Head of Finance for Europe and New Markets, in this position, you will participate in the financial workstreams of the portfolio either in a 'service provider/consultant' or 'asset monitoring' role, as applicable.

As of today, the region comprises more than 30 toll road projects in Spain, Portugal, UK, Ireland, Slovakia, Australia, Colombia, and India.

The position belongs to the Finance Department of Cintra and it is based in Madrid.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial and performance oversight and optimization of the E&NM region portfolio of assets (toll road concessions) and holding companies, supporting the E&NM Management Team. This entails leading with an extremely proactive approach their performance, including operational benchmarking and financial modelling reviews, to propose, lead and coordinate value creating initiatives for Cintra and its affiliates.
  • Project management and/or adhoc analysis of country or global initiatives that require business and finance teams' coordination in relation to any financial, accounting, tax and business process with a value creation, simplicity, and costeffectiveness focus.
  • Collaboration with the corporate teams of Cintra and Ferrovial (M&A, Corporate Finance & Project Finance, Treasury, ESG, Innovation, etc.) building a vendor business case, improving the financing, tax and accounting performance of the portfolio.
  • Support the company reporting, budgeting, risk assessment, audit coordination and financial compliance processes interacting with the CEO, COO and CFOs of the concessions and corresponding holding companies.
  • Detailed review of monthend financials and related financial analysis of the corresponding assets (concessions) and holding companies, with interaction with the FP&A, Global Accounting and Global Reporting teams of Cintra and Ferrovial.
  • Frequent interaction with the Finance teams of the affiliates to ensure highquality standards and best practice sharing with the best leverage of systems and resources.
  • Short trips to concession companies' offices to support local management, coordinate services provided and interact with the local teams to ensure quality of service, customer feedback, coordinate workstreams and ensure compliance with Cintra standards, as applicable.
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Education & Experience:_
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • 810 years' experience in related fields, which may include Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Controlling, Business Process Analysis, Audit, Financial Analysis, Project Finance or Economics
  • Experience with Financial Models and Project Finance a plus.
  • Bilingual preferred in English and Spanish

  • Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially within Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point, as well as PC based programs
  • Familiarity with SAP accounting software is preferred
  • Experience with reporting and dashboards tools will be a plus (ex. PowerBI, Business Objects, Qlikview, SAC)
