I will safeguard these pillars and its strategic planning and development and ensure all directives, practices, and initiatives are implemented, embraced, and adopted within the resort.


Duties and Responsibilities


As Director of Sales, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Sales department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

My key role is to drive the right business at the right price to ensure the resort achieves budgeted occupancy, rate, and revenue.


The duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Possess a strong background knowledge and contacts across the travel agency universe, including Consortia and Tour Operators, acting as a key face for the hotel within the industry including pro-active sales events and trade shows.
  • Nurture a huntertype attitude with the sales team, pushing proactive sales across our Resort and Residences product.
  • Write and implement the annual sales plan, contracting, setting sales targets by segment and by client and prospect and directing the Sales team.
  • Continually focus on revenue generation and profile building for our resort, spa, and for Six Senses.
  • Establish and deliver financial returns related to revenue generation.
  • To lead and develop a sales team ensuring they are confident and knowledgeable in their roles and proactively sell all outlets within the hotel.
  • Attend Sales missions, exhibitions, and industry events as required.
  • Coordinate sales activities with GSOs, including localized action plans and sales calls.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and strategies to develop our business, including across segments and new markets, bringing these to the attention of the DOSM and GM.
  • Working with the DOSM, establish KPIs for the entire department and ensure consistent feedback and checkins with the team to monitor progress.
  • Maintain oversight and ownership
  • Operate the property consistent with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements and documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security, and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed, and maintained to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.

Qualifications
To execute the position of Director of Sales, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and including the following:

  • Possess a minimum of 7 years total experience in hospitality or hotels sales setting, with direct supervisory experience over a sales team, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • More than 3 years' experience in a senior sales role is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and good level of Spanish.
  • Valid Spanish Work permit or European Union citizenship is required for this role.
