About the role
AstraZeneca's R&D Data Office is an industry-leading enabler of data and AI strategy.

The Data Office provides data services, technology, and data products, supported by data and AI policy and governance, to unlock the value of data that drive innovative science.


Within the Data Office, you will be a part of the Business Engagement team within Data Office Strategy and Solutions group.

You will be the accountable service coordinator as a first point-of-contact for customer requests for Data Office services and solutions.

To achieve this, you will engage with customers as a primary point of contact to triage, answer questions and signpost customers to the extensive Data Office services that support customers across AstraZeneca R&D.


As a part of your role, you will provide intelligence, based around information such as contact metrics, customer feedback, back to the Data Office, to help support continuous improvement and Data Office strategy, plus, take an active part in improving the way we interact with our customers.

You will build positive relationships with customers and Data Office partners, exchange information, co-ordinate requests and help craft and deliver requests through Data Office processes.


Responsibilities:


Take accountability for successful customer interactions and access to our portfolio of services:

  • Be a first contact to customers that contact the Data Office by triaging requests, answering questions, and signposting customers to the correct Data Office information, services or products required to support their request.
  • Build strong relationships and work closely with Data Office service and product teams to coordinate customer requests.
  • Responsible for running and facilitating customer interactions and resolutions, such as a 'data clinic', to help triage unclear customer requests with no clear owner and well as support customers with advice (as appropriate), working with the Business Engagement team and rest of the Data organisation.
  • Develop an extensive understanding of our services and products as well as how different services and products within the Data Office come together to enable different user journeys.

Support continuous improvement of Data Office services and the ways we engage with customers across R&D:

  • Support in developing and maintaining Data Office service and product knowledge documents and information to support customer requests.
  • Prepare and present packages of intelligence, and make recommendations upon continuous improvement and Data Office strategy.
  • Actively drive improvements within processes of customer engagement and interaction to help.

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent engagement and communication skills with strong experience in dealing and managing a wide range of collaborators
  • Experience of working with sophisticated data, using technical, creative and critical thinking to support customers
  • Experience working in a data sciences and technology
  • Experience in collaborating with across multiple teams
  • Experience of the endtoend processes and activities to deliver clear outcomes to customers, e.g., endtoend support for service requests
  • Experience in working in multiskilled, multilocation data teams
  • Knowledge of policies and standards for data covering areas such as privacy and security
