Job Description:

Responsibilities of this role may include:

Contribute to design development, design risk and mitigation and value engineering, especially regarding electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic interferences.
Develop EMC/EMI control plans for system/subsystems
Partner with design engineers to advise on EMC test specifications and production of test procedures and reports as required.
Ensure that the technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of design work in order that successful project implementation and future reliability is achieved.
Present EMC issues to nonrelated technical leads or clients.
Work within the financial and project constraints and consider financial implications in producing design options.
Mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

BEng Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Degree.
8+ years proven post graduate experience in EMC.
Experience on EMC management for railway systems including signaling, communication systems and rail electrification.
Deep knowledge of EMC standards such as IEC 61000 series and EN 50121 series

Preferred Qualifications:

MSc. preferred.
10 years or more of relevant experience preferred
Inarte certification preferred.
Experience with EMC modelling software such as ANSYS
