Job Description:


Responsibilities of this role may include:

  • Contribute to design development, design risk and mitigation and value engineering, especially regarding electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic interferences.
  • Develop EMC/EMI control plans for system/subsystems
  • Partner with design engineers to advise on EMC test specifications and production of test procedures and reports as required.
  • Ensure that the technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of design work in order that successful project implementation and future reliability is achieved.
  • Present EMC issues to nonrelated technical leads or clients.
  • Work within the financial and project constraints and consider financial implications in producing design options.
  • Mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:


  • BEng Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • 8+ years proven post graduate experience in EMC.
  • Experience on EMC management for railway systems including signaling, communication systems and rail electrification.
  • Deep knowledge of EMC standards such as IEC 61000 series and EN 50121 series

Preferred Qualifications:


  • MSc. preferred.
  • 10 years or more of relevant experience preferred
  • Inarte certification preferred.
  • Experience with EMC modelling software such as ANSYS
